If I double-click one of these files, the Finder tries to open it in Parallels Desktop. When I create a shortcut in Windows XP in a folder that Fusion is sharing between Windows XP and OS X, it shows up in the OS X finder as a file with a. The virtual machine behaves just as it should, with one exception. I enabled Folder Sharing, Mirrored Folders, and Shared Applications (Mac to virtual machine, and virtual machine to Mac). I then imported the Windows XP virtual machine I had created in Parallels. I paid for, and registered, Fusion 2.0.4. I had the trial version of Paralells Desktop on my Mac for a few days, but decided to go with VMware Fusion after trying their trial version.
