You'll find similar levels of interest in getting Blackberry devices to sync contacts and calendars with home PCs/Outlook. I think it's because a lot of people use non-Windows mobile devices, especially a Blackberry at work, and want to sync everything back to their Outlook PC at home. Seems like there's a lot of interest in this, to judge by various forums and so on.
